If you have a Binance account and think about securing your data and money that’s fine because Binance has a few options to do this.
In this article, I want to show you two basic options that in my opinion, each user of Binance should be enabled like minimum:
The first method to secure your Binance method is Binance/Google Authenticator. This method adds an additional security layer.
How it is working? We adding to our system a new app called Binance/Google Authenticator and we connect this app with our Binance account. After correct connection, this application generates every 30-second unique code that you need to type in your Binance account when you make important stuff (login, reset the password, send money, etc.).
How to enable Binance/Google Authenticator?
To enable Binance/Google Authenticator, login to your Binance account and choose from the top menu icon with avatar:
next push button Security:
From the Security list find Binance/Google Authenticator and push-button Enable:
Step 1: Install Binance Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
Link to this app you will find at first step like you see at the image below. When you install one of these apps push button next.
Step 2: Scan this code by Binance/Google Authenticator app to connect it with your Binance account.
Step 3: Save this Backup Key in a secure location
Important! Not show nobody this QR code or code below QR and secure this code someplace (for example you can print it or use for example 1passord/LastPass to store this data) this code will be required if you will lost your phone or you want to change phone – this code helps you got access to your account.
Step 4: Enable Authenticator by verifying your account using this form and type required codes from each source:
Phone (text message)
Authentication Code (code from Binance/Google Authenticator)
Step 5: Congratulation! Your new security option is enabled and you can start using it.
An Anti-Phishing Code is a code that helps to prevent phishing attempts fake Binance websites or email addresses.
Once you’ve set your unique Anti-Phishing Code, it will be included in all official Binance emails.
How to enable Anti-Phishing Code?
To enable Anti-Phishing Code, login to your Binance account and choose from the top menu icon with avatar:
next push button Security:
Next find Anti-Phishing Code and Enable it:
Push-button Create Anti-Phishing Code to start to create new code:
Next type your unique code and push button Submit.
Important! Secure this code and not share it with nobody this code (it is only for you, and each page that has this solution should have a unique code).
Confirm this code using Binance/Google Authenticator code:
Success! You enabled the Anti-Phishing Code security layer.
Now for each email from Binance, you should get this code and you can easily confirm this email comes from Binance.
